  • The University is mourning the loss of Zachary Brunt ’15, a scientist and musician from Alexandria, Va., who died Wednesday afternoon in J.W. Gibbs Laboratory.
  • Almost exactly six months after arriving in New Haven on Oct. 15, Occupy New Haven was evicted from the Green on Wednesday. Police removed protesters from their encampment early Wednesday morning, allowing officials from the city’s parks department to clear the Upper Green of tents and debris. The eviction comes after a two-month saga of city efforts to force protesters to leave the park and one day after the Second Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the city could legally remove Occupiers from the Green.
  • Last Sunday, approximately 120 students and faculty members lounged on the grass in the Ezra Stiles courtyard, eating from plates piled high with homemade spanakopita, baklava and souvlaki as they celebrated Greek Easter. It was an event put on the Hellenic Society, which provides a home away from home for Greek students at Yale. Read more in tomorrow’s News.
