Students who are applying early to Yale and have not completed their applications yet can now breathe a sigh of relief: the deadline for early applications has been extended a day to midnight on Wednesday Nov. 2.
Dean of Admissions Jeffrey Brenzel said the extension was granted because of this weekend’s surprise snowstorm, which blanketed the northeast with the most snow ever seen during the month of October and shut off the power for over 2 million people.
“We’re simply giving folks a chance to get back online,” Brenzel said.
Yale is the only Ivy League school to have extended its Early Action or Early Decision deadline past Nov. 1.
