It’s that time of year again.

Applications to the new Global Affairs major are now available to members of the class of 2014. To apply, students have to answer an essay question concerning their interest in the major, and they must also list international travel and work experiences “that have informed [their] interest in global affairs.”

Last year, the major admitted under 50 percent of its applicants, even lower than the acceptance rate for the notoriously competitive Ethics, Politics and Economics major, which admitted slightly more than half of its 64 applicants.

Applications to Global Affairs are due Nov. 18.
