It’s finally official: the Apple Store which is under construction on Broadway will open this Saturday, Apple announced on its website Tuesday morning.

A grand opening is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at the store at 65 Broadway, next to Barnes and Noble.

The store will include a shopping area and “Genius Bar” for technical support issues, according to architectural renderings. The construction of the store cost $4.8 million, according to building permits on file with the city of New Haven.

Apple has listed job openings at an Apple Store in New Haven since last spring, and is currently accepting applications for a variety of positions at the new location.

The Apple Store will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The site was still under heavy construction Saturday morning as workers installed siding and rebuilt the sidewalk in front of it. The future front door of the store is still covered by black fabric.
