Yale goaltender Ryan Rondeau ’11 was snubbed for ECAC and NCAA end-of-season honors even though he finished among the top five goalies in the nation in goals against average, save percentage, and wins this season. But ever since he shut out Colgate and Cornell in the ECAC Championship last weekend, the awards have been piling up.

Rondeau was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player for his 44-save weekend effort, and on Monday was namedInsidecollegehockey.com’s national player of the week.

The senior — who rode the bench last season until the NCAA Tournament — has not allowed a goal in 202:19 and leads the nation with a 1.83 goals against average. His .932 save percentage is second in the country.

Rondeau will be looking for his second career NCAA Tournament victory this Friday when Yale plays Air Force in the East Regional.
