Apparently, Princeton and Harvard students cannot appreciate hospitality.

Before the tip of Saturday’s men’s basketball game between the Tigers and Crimson in Yale’s John J. Lee Amphitheater, Princeton and Harvard students joined together in a “Yale sucks” chant. The game was held to determine the Ivy League’s automatic representative in the NCAA Tournament.

Luckily for Bulldog fans, they did not have to witness a crowd of Cantabs rushing the court, as Princeton guard Douglas Davis hit a shot as time expired to give the Tigers the 63–62 win and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. On Sunday, things got worse for Harvard when they failed to earn an at-large bid for the Big Dance.

And although Tiger fans stormed Yale’s court after the game-winning shot, Eli fans can take heart knowing that Harvard has not made an NCAA Tournament appearance since 1946.
