A winter storm warning is no longer in effect, according to the National Weather Service. Instead, there is a freezing rain advisory effective until 12 p.m.
Yale College Dean Mary Miller e-mailed students Tuesday encouraging them to give blood at the Yale-Harvard Blood Drive Challenge, which continues through Thursday. Added to the incentive of helping the Red Cross, which is in the midst of a blood shortage, Harvard Dean Evelyn Hammonds will sport Bulldog blue if Yale donates more than its Crimson rivals.
Ready to party. Feb Club began for seniors Monday at the Palmer House. Tuesday’s party was at the lightweight crew house. Meanwhile, the Junior Class Council is hosting a “JV Feb Club” four times during the month starting Friday, according to a Facebook event.
But the party doesn’t stop after graduation. Feb Club Emeritus — according to their website “Feb Club for Old People” — hosted a party Tuesday in Antarctica, organized by Mory’s Council President Christopher Getman ’64 on the Crystal Symphony cruise. For the less adventurous, the Yale Club of New York also held an event.
Yale Chief Investment Officer David Swensen was named one of the 10 worst university endowment managers in the U.S. by Business Insider. It was his second year on the list.
City Hall spokeswoman Jessica Mayorga is leaving her post Friday, she said in an e-mail to the News. Although she originally said she would depart sometime in the spring, she is moving on earlier than expected because she will begin a new job as marketing director of National Council of La Raza, a Latino civil rights organization.
