Brown reported that almost 31,000 students applied to the University’s class of 2015, a 2.9 percent increase from the 30,136 applications it received last year, according to Businessweek.

This is a smaller increase than other Ivy League schools that have released their application numbers saw this year — Harvard, Dartmouth and the University of Pennsylvania all experienced approximately 15 percent increases in application numbers received. Yale has not yet released the number of applications it received this year.
