Students found themselves temporarily unable to access e-mail, Classes v2, and external websites this afternoon due to Internet connectivity outages across campus.

In Bass, Commons, and Sterling, students reported difficulties connecting through any of the Yale networks around 1 p.m. Several residential colleges, including Jonathan Edwards and Timothy Dwight, also appeared to have connectivity problems, students interviewed said.

At one point no websites were accessible, prompting panic among those who needed to submit assignments or otherwise access Classes v2. After Classes v2 was fixed, the outage mostly blocked non-Yale sites, one student tech said, adding that he did not know the source of the problem.

According to the ITS website, all network issues were resolved shortly after 3 p.m.
