A day after freshman Erica Borgo ’14 took home Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season, Yale field hockey teammate Georgia Holland earned Co-Ivy League Rookie of the Year honors – an award she will share with Cornell’s Hannah Bazella.

Holland and Borgo were both named Second Team All-Ivy after combining to take home Rookie of the Week honors five times this year. Holland tallied six points in Ivy League play (14 on the season) including a game winning goal at Cornell. She also had five defensive saves in her debut campaign.

Yale’s upperclassmen also got good news Wednesday, as midfielder Dinah Landshut ’12 and back Erin Carter ’12 were named first-team All-Ivy. Landshut had 19 points, including 15 assists in 2010 – one short of Yale’s single season record set in 2009 by Katie Cantore ’10. Carter was a part of five Yale shutouts, adding eight goals – four in conference play – to finish third on the Bulldogs in scoring.
