As of 3 p.m. with five hours left to vote in Connecticut, 340 people have voted in Ward 1 — where the majority of Yale students reside — Ward 1 moderator Michael Hayden said.

“The bulk of Yale came through around noon,” Hayden said. “But we do expect a trickle-in later in the afternoon, as students finish class.”

Hayden said that he expected around 500 people to cast their votes in Ward 1, a lower number than in 2008.

Ben Stango ’11, president of the Yale College Democrats, said the numbers were as expected, and he believed a large number of students were still to vote, based on voter-registration numbers.
