Last Wednesday, April 7th, I went ahead and reported the overheating in Hendrie Hall using Yale Facilities’ awesome new online work order request form.

The next day, April 8th, I received a confirmation e-mail informing me that the work order to check the radiator controls had been scheduled. Following the link in the email, I was able to see, among other things, the transcript of communication between Facilities employees working on the issue.

A note from Jack Tiboni of Controls indicated that last Thursday he checked the control switch that governs the heat and adjusted it so that it wouldn’t keep laying on excessive heat. He also put in a sub-request, known as a “child” work order, to have Plumbing check the radiator valves.

Tiboni’s note:

“LOWER ENABLE TO 500P TO KEEP HEAT OFF WHEN WINDOWS ARE OPEN, WILL HAVE PL CHECK RADIATORS IN GLEE CLUB RM. ** CHILD TO -PL, CHECK RADIATOR VALVE **”

Following the link to the child work order, I was able to see that on Friday, Joseph Proto of Plumbing wrote:

“FIXED MANY VALVES. COMPLETE”

So was the work completed to Prof. Malafronte’s satisfaction? Follow the SeeClickFix issue to find out.
