On last night’s episode of The Late Show with David Letterman (a re-run that originally aired Jan. 7) girls were crying outside for a whining teenage sensation. Nick Jonas took the stage not as a Jo-Bro, but as Nick Jonas. His CD, “Who I Am” will come out on February 2.

I’ve never been a Jonas Brother’s fan. Their teen boy-band-image has always bothered me. But with just one brother and a decent band, I was hoping for an original sound. Instead, “Rose Garden” was a sore attempt at John Mayer. In an interview with Billboard, Jonas mentioned that he recorded the album in two weeks. I guess rush jobs just don’t work out. I doubt this side-gig will last.
