THIS DAY IN YALE HISTORY

1986 A female freshman’s shower in a first-floor Durfee bathroom was interrupted at 11:30 p.m. when “a lone male entered and pulled back the shower curtain.” The intruder left and returned accompanied by two other males. The freshman, who screamed for help and phoned the Yale Police, was unharmed and the intruders made no attempt to touch her, but “they did stare at her.”

Correction: Jan. 20, 2010

An earlier version of this Cross Campus misreported the installation of two energy monitors. The monitors have been installed in both Pierson and Silliman colleges, not only in Pierson.
