Ladies, wanna hook up with a 21-year-old mama’s boy guido Staten Islander? Guys, need a reason to fist-pump?

Fear not, because Vinny Guadagnino, one of the eight cast members of the MTV show “Jersey Shore,” will be partying in New Haven at Elevate Thursday night.

The reality series features Italian Americans partying in Seaside Heights, N.J. To stay unbiased, let’s just say some of the cast members are … interesting. (One cast member, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, introduced herself as “the sweetest [expletive] you’ll ever meet.” Another cast member, Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, said he has a tanning bed installed in his house and takes 25 minutes to prepare his hair, which is “windproof, waterproof, soccer-proof, motorcycle-proof.”)

The television program has become a cable hit in recent weeks, as the viewership has steadily increased to about 3.2 million for the Jan. 7 episode from about 1.35 million for the series premiere last month, according to viewership records Web site TVbytheNumbers.com.

Guadagnino, who said he likes to fist-pump “like a champ,” admitted in the first episode that being a guido has a connotation of “being stupid,” but he remains adamant that he graduated college.

To meet him that night, e-mail Katie Lenihan, a Quinnipiac University student affiliated with the event, at kitkat55l@earthlink.net for details. Ladies, if you meet him, maybe you can get his mom to make you some ziti.
