A New Haven resident was shot and another one was stabbed early Saturday morning. Around 2:30 a.m., a man and his cousin were walking on Dixwell Avenue when a black male, for whom the police are still looking, wearing a mask approached them and demanded the man’s property. According to New Haven Police spokesman Joe Avery, the robber displayed a silver revolver with a white handle and shot the victim twice. One bullet went into the victim’s left arm and ricocheted into his back, and the other grazed his left side. Police said the suspect was last seen running toward the back of 284 Dixwell Ave. Around the same time, four black males, for whom the police are still looking, got into a fight with a man near Louis’ Lunch on Crown Street. The victim suffered three cuts to his back. Both victims were sent to Yale-New Haven Hospital. Police have yet to make arrests in either case.
