Police arrested a 21-year-old male from Bloomfield, Conn. this morning who they believe stabbed and killed a University of Connecticut star cornerback last week, the New Haven Register reported.

John William Lomax III was charged with felony murder this morning. Two others were also charged in the case: Hakin Muhammad, 20, was charged with conspiracy to commit assault and Jamal Todd, 21, was charged with falsely reporting an incident and a reckless endangerment.

On Oct. 18, Jasper Howard was stabbed in the abdomen outside the university’s student center, where he had been attending a dance. He died at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford.
