On Thursday, New Haven Police seized 200 grams of cocaine, $3,748 in U.S. currency, and 13 firearms — including two illegal assault weapons — from a house at 36 Cleveland Rd., New Haven Police Department officer Joe Avery wrote in a Friday press release. He said police arrived at the location in response to a burglary alarm and found the items in “plain view” during a routine sweep of the interior of the house. Scott Barone, a resident of the home, has been charged with five counts, including possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and illegal possession of an assault weapon.
