The second major fire in New Haven in four days broke out Monday morning. At 6:11 a.m., the New Haven Fire Department responded to a four-alarm fire at Lincoln Flower Shop on 22 East Grand Ave., according to reports by the New Haven Police Department. Neighboring fire departments assisted in the putting out the fire before it could damage the handful of historic buildings nearby. On Thursday night, a three-alarm fire broke out in a boarding house at 1255 Chapel St. No injuries were reported in either fire, and both fires are still under investigation.
