Ms. Frizzle: Move, teach, get out the way. Max Lanman ’10 has a new waggle dance for all his fellow Yalies to learn.

This short video is a response to the increased death rate of bees, who, according to the “Do the Honeybee” video, help pollinate at least one-third of our food supply.

The video is part of a larger campaign called Help the Honey Bees (www.helpthehoneybees.com), sponsored by Haagen-Dazs. Other videos for the cause include “Bee Dance Disco,” a Ricky Martin Latin number, and “Bee Dance Krumpin” (really).

With a rocking toddler, bee suits (both onesies that beekeepers wear and some yellow-and-black striped numbers with antennae) and tons of swagger, Lanman’s smartly shot video aims to please, educate and sing its way into your heart. (And, damn, are the graphics clear!)

Part “I’m on a Boat” and part “Macarena,” “Do the Honeybee” has a lot to offer. Moves include “walking it out,” “shaking your stingers,” “bending your knees,” “getting down real low” and “doing the honey bee.”

If you don’t know what I’m talking about by the descriptions above, this just means you have to check out the rocking video. See it to bee-lieve it.
