Nearly a year to-the-day after the passing of Mila Rainof MED ’08, who died after being hit by a car while crossing South Frontage Road, Yale launched a snazzy Web site yesterday devoted to street safety.

Created in partnership with the city’s Department of Transportation, Traffic and Parking, the Smart Street website uses illustrated guides, or “Street Scenes,” to demonstrate how pedestrians, cyclists and drivers should act on city streets.

The site would not be complete without a quiz, which features questions like: “What should you do at a yellow light?”

You can view the site at http://www.yale.edu/smartstreets/.
