Last Thursday night the Board of Education approved the new definition of bullying proposed earlier in the week: “Overt acts by one or more students intended to ridicule, humiliate, or intimidate, that are committed more than once against any student(s) during the school year.” The definition, meant to refocus the blame on bullies at the first offense, was unanimously approved by the six board members. Enforcement policies have yet to be formulated or implemented.
