Dennis Maluk, 54, was identified and arrested Thursday evening by the New Haven Police Department for stealing various works of art from Yale University and locations in downtown New Haven, City Hall spokeswoman Jessica Mayorga said in a press release Friday. Maluk was responsible for stealing a number of the 39 stolen art pieces police had recovered from the residence of 47-year-old Bruno Nestir, a drug dealer, located at 24 Sylvan Ave. Nestir was arrested on drug, weapon and larceny charges. Maluk was arrested and charged with larceny in the first degree.
