A three-hour standoff with police on Interstate 84 ended Monday without incident, the Hartford Courant reported. According to the article, 27-year-old Jovan Tomlinson parked his car on I-84 near the Sigourney St. exit and held a gun to his head, threatening to harm himself. But, according to the article, law enforcement was able to successfully negotiate with Tomlinson via cell phone and convince him to leave his car unharmed. Police closed I-84 in both directions around 9 a.m., the Courant reported, and reopened it at 12:40 p.m.
