Two men were found shot in their SUV early Saturday morning at the intersection of Crown and Church streets. Yale Police Chief James Perrotti said in an e-mail to the News that the shooting occurred at Grand Avenue and Hamilton Street in the Fair Haven neighborhood. After they were shot, the two 21-year-olds drove away in a Jeep Grand Cherokee that had several windows either broken out or shot out. Perrotti said that when the two arrived at Church and Crown at approximately 3:30 a.m., they reported the shooting to a YPD officer who was on routine patrol at the time. The YPD referred the case to the NHPD, according to Perrotti. The two victims, who were both taken to local hospitals, were reported to be in stable condition as of Saturday afternoon.
