The stormy weather Saturday night caused several trees to fall in New Haven, including one outside Silliman’s St. Anthony Hall. The 95-year-old undergraduate society building sustained minor damage consisting of several broken windows. At the scene, Yale Police Department Officer Robert Arengo said the YPD swiftly cordoned off the area to prevent danger to Yale students and their visiting parents. The tree partially pulled down a telephone wire as it fell, though the line did not break. A tree also fell outside the nearby Calvin Hill Daycare Center, crushing a fence. Though several other tress fell around the city, no additional damage has been reported.
