A 34-year-old man, Andre Lee Clark, was shot and killed outside a Fair Haven apartment complex on Monday. It was the 20th homicide to occur in the city this year. Residents reported hearing shots at approximately 9 p.m., but when police went to investigate they found nothing. Hours later, at 2:23 a.m., Clark was found dead by police. In 1996, Clark was shot nine times in a shooting at a different housing complex that resulted in the death of his cousin. Clark had testified against the gang members, who were eventually convicted.
