Personal information of Connecticut port workers may be compromised after thieves broke into a Transportation Worker Identification Credential Program office earlier this week, WTNH reported. Two laptops were stolen during the break-in, and one of the laptops was used for entering personal information during background checks. Department of Homeland Security, though, told WTNH that the information in the laptops in encrypted and then deleted after being sent to Washington. There was no sign of forced entry into the office.
