The March 7 story “YPD likely to grow with expansion” incorrectly reported that, according to the News’ crime log — which uses data from the Yale Police Department’s crime logs — there were no reported incidents in the Prospect-Sachem triangle, where two new residential colleges may be built, last year. There were actually 19 incidents. Four warrant services and one breach of peace incident were closed by arrests in the last year. In addition, three thefts from motor vehicles, three thefts, three instances of criminal mischief, a burglary and an assault were considered “open” cases when they were reported to the YPD. The News sincerely regrets this error.
