To the Editor:
I have been consistently disappointed with the shallow and often-inaccurate reporting of this story from the start, but the article “Pre-show ‘load-in’ protocols unchanged” (2/11) has finally crossed a line.
This article, and its inflammatory headline, are simply false.
Substantive changes have been made to our work rules when loading and unloading from the Yale Repertory Theatre, and in our other spaces. These changes have included installing and mandating the use of personal fall protection when working at the elevated loading dock at the Rep, improvements to ladders and railings at workspaces in the University Theatre and changes in policies regarding faculty oversight of work calls.
Before you print another article about this very sensitive subject, try to get your facts straight.
