It’s surprising that the Bulldogs almost never call a play-action to Mike McLeod ’09, considering how much opposing defenses tend to key in on the All-America candidate. The Bulldogs ran twice on third down before Polhemus overthrew his wide receiver on third, forcing an Eli punt. In three drives, the Bulldogs still have not crossed midfield. The offensive stagnation against the nation’s third-best running defense is not a good sign – if the Elis don’t get things going soon, they could be in for a long day.
