The awards keep coming for the Bulldogs.

Women’s hockey captain Erin Duggan ’05 was named to the U.S. College Hockey Online first team and defenseman Helen Resor ’08 was selected for the rookie team yesterday.

“[Duggan] played a huge part [in our success this year],” forward Natalie Babony ’06 said. “She has such a presence on the ice and really led by example.”

Duggan, who already collected second team All-Ivy and ECACHL All-Academic honors, scored 11 goals, leading all conference blueliners. She was also named first-team All-ECAC earlier this month, marking the first time an Eli has made the first team since Laurie Belliveau ’98 in the 1997-98 season. One of only three seniors on this year’s team, Duggan finishes her career second all-time at Yale in assists (61), third in points (97) and seventh in goals (36).

Despite missing the first eight games of the season due to injury, Resor still managed to finish seventh in the conference among freshmen in points (18). The Greenwich native came on strong at the end of the season, capping off a spectacular rookie campaign with two goals in the Elis’ ECAC playoff opener against Princeton. She was also selected to the ECAC All-Rookie team.
