Best Game-Football vs. Colgate, Oct. 2

With seven seconds left on the clock, Andrew Sullivan ’05 kicked a field goal to cap a 17-point fourth-quarter comeback and lift the Bulldogs over No. 11 Colgate, 31-28, at the Yale Bowl. Facing a 28-14 deficit at halftime, the Elis appeared on their way to their second loss of the season. But behind a strong defensive effort and a balanced offensive attack, they rallied. Alvin Cowan ’05 completed a touchdown pass to Alex Flaherty ’05 less than three minutes into the third quarter to tie the score. Colgate responded with two touchdowns of its own. But Yale would have the last say on the scoreboard as Cowan threw for two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter before Sullivan made the game-winning boot.
