John Singley, the 19-year-old New Haven resident arrested on Wednesday for the armed robbery of Christopher McLaughry ’07, appeared in court yesterday, a spokesperson for the New Haven Superior Court said.
Singley’s bond was set at $100,000, but only 10 percent of that amount must be paid for his release, the spokesperson said.
Though University Police officers made the arrest, the case was turned over to the New Haven Police Department, Yale Police Lt. Michael Patten said. Patten said he could not comment on whether a suspect has been found for Singley’s female companion during the robbery.
New Haven Police Department spokesperson Bonnie Winchester could not be reached for comment Thursday afternoon.
