The thrilling performance of the Yale men’s soccer team did not go unrecognized by the rest of the nation as the Elis entered the national ranking for the first time this season.

The Bulldogs (3-1, 0-1 Ivy) are ranked No. 22 in the newest coaches poll after defeating then-No. 8 University of Alabama-Birmingham 2-1 and unranked Tulsa this weekend.

Last Monday, the Elis also defeated then-No. 16 Rhode Island on the road 2-1.

Yale joins three other Ivy League schools in the top 25 — No. 18 Harvard, No. 21 Cornell and No. 25 Princeton.

The Elis continue their season Wednesday at 3 p.m. when they face off against Hartford at the Soccer-Lacrosse Stadium.
