To the Editor:
In an article on Sen. Hillary Clinton (“Hillary Clinton agrees to speak on Class Day,” 3/26), Nancy Bekavac said, “The perils of leadership” are very different for a man than for a woman. This must be so because an unnecessary amount of time was devoted to Bill and Hillary as a couple, instead of her political achievements and the things that have made her one of the “most revered” and “reviled” political figures in contemporary America.
I needn’t ask if the article promoting last year’s Class Day speaker discussed his “first date.” When will politics and gender be separated?
