An article yesterday about the drug patent process incorrectly stated that millions of people die each day from AIDS. Millions die each year from AIDS, not each day.

Also, the article attributed to both Director of Office of Cooperative Research Jon Soderstrom and professor Ian Shapiro the statement that a provision in a licensing agreement giving a university the right to terminate the license in case of health emergency would adversely affect the economic value of the license. Neither Shapiro nor Soderstrom made the statement.
