Senior men’s basketball captain Neil Yanke ’01 was named to the All-Ivy second team Friday. The center — who is second on Yale’s all-time block list — averaged 12.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per contest this season.
Guard Chris Leanza ’03 earned honorable mention honors after averaging 13.3 points per game this year.
The Ivy League Player of the Year was Columbia’s junior forward Craig Austin — becoming only the second Lion ever to earn the honor. The first team was led by four unanimous selections — Brown forward Earl Hunt, Harvard senior Dan Clemente, Princeton center Nate Walton and Austin. Pennsylvania senior Lamar Plummer rounds out the first team.
