To the Editor:

The behavior of Michael Denning, a professor of Ethnicity, Race and Migration, during his DeVane lecture was outrageous. By allowing a representative of GESO to speak during his lecture, Denning interjected himself into an ongoing political question at the University that is simply not appropriate material for a DeVane lecture. If I were interested in hearing about the “rights” of GESO, I would have attended one of their meetings. The DeVane lecture series should not be a forum for political broadsides.
