My face mysterious if

cheerless.

My butt frowns away

from you or maybe

makes a face about the heat.

My stomach tenses

with imaginary laughter:

I induce a firmness

you can relate to so

you walk to me—

someone told me about

how men are supposed to

“touch you with their eyes”

if they want you.

That they make up a room

where they’re alone with you

with their eyes.
