  2. Yale a winner

It looks like the Bulldogs will pull of its third consecutive win to stay in the league title hunt. The Elis will next take the field next weekend in the 125th installment of The Game against Harvard. If Yale is able to win and Brown loses, the Bulldogs will claim a share of the Ivy League championship.

  3. Bulldog defense does it again

The Yale defense came up with another big play — this time from a surprising source. Backup linebacker Tim Handlon intercepted an Anderson pass and the Eli offense will look to milk some more of the clock; five minutes remain in the contest.

  4. Yale can’t add to the lead

The Elis moved into Princeton territory but had its series stall on the 26-yard line. Although the Bulldogs have scored 14 points, they have yet to put together a solid scoring drive — both touchdowns came off turnovers and drives that started deep in Princeton territory.

  5. McLeod over the century mark

For the fourth time this season, McLeod has eclipsed the 100-yard mark. The senior has 20 carries for 105 yards and has looked impressive throughout the contest.

  6. High snap does Tiger drive in

Can’t run a QB draw against the Yale D on 4th and 1 with a high snap, as the Tigers found out. Anderson was stuffed at the line of scrimmage and the Tigers turned the ball over on downs yet again.

  7. End of the third quarter

The third quarter didn’t much in the way of action. The 15 minutes went by without any points and the teams head into the final quarter with Yale leading 14-0. It’s hard to imagine that the Tiger offense will be able to muster two touchdowns in 15 minutes against this stiff Yale defense. The Tigers haven’t had the ball in Bulldog territory much at all and will need to play superbly to get anything going.

  8. Drive ends on a dropped pass

On 3rd and 5 Hart found Reid Lathan open on the sideline for a first down, but the receiver wasn’t able to haul in what should’ve been an easy pitch and catch. The Bulldogs were forced to punt and Tom Mante booted it to the Tiger 21, where Princeton will begin its first drive of the second half.

  9. Princeton, with a change at QB, stalls on drive

Another promising Princeton drive was halted, this time ending on a turnover on downs after the Tigers went for it on a 4th and 15 at the Yale 34-yard line. Anderson was taken out in favor of freshman Tommy Wornham, in what I hear is not based on injury — the Tigers were hoping to catch the Bulldogs off guard an debut Wornham. That, however didn’t work out and the Bulldogs now take a 14-0 lead into halftime.
