The Bold and the Beautiful, a charity fashion show organized by Runway Inc. of Yale, a new fashion group on campus, took place this past Friday. Students modeled labels from Gant and Tommy Hilfiger as well as some original designs from Fashion Institute of Technology student Andrew Jardin.
As part of the celebration of Black History Month, the Yale chapter of the NAACP hosted a poetry slam Saturday. Nationally acclaimed poets and Yale students mingled, celebrated the legacy of community leaders and activists that paved the way for the social justice, and enjoyed an afternoon of poetry together at the Afro-American Cultural Center.
Yale has a multitude of dance groups on campus. These organizations span a wide array of cultural heritages, from Mexico to India and the Far East and genres such as ballet, hip-hop and Irish dance. This week, contributing photographer Emilie Foyer explored the rehearsals of eight campus dance groups.
