Burgwell Howard, Northwestern University’s current assistant vice president for student engagement, will leave NU for Yale at the end of this school year, The Daily Northwestern reported Friday.

At Yale, Howard will serve as associate vice president for student engagement and senior associate dean of the college. He told The Daily Northwestern he looks forward to helping plan for the two new residential colleges, which will open in 2017.

“It’s a unique opportunity to impact Yale’s future,” he told the publication last week. “It was a little too good to resist.”

Howard’s wife, psychology professor Jennifer Richeson, will come to Yale as a psychology professor starting in 2016, according to The Daily Northwestern.

Howard has worked at NU for 10 years.
