Making moves. Tyler Varga ’15 can’t/won’t stop on his journey to the league. After a stellar, arguably MVP-worthy performance in last weekend’s Senior Bowl, the running back received an invitation to the NFL Combine, where his Herculean self is sure to shine.
VC-who? It’s early, sure, but ESPN College Basketball analyst Joe Lunardi is already feeling the March Madness. His latest bracket slots our very own Elis for the 13th seed in the East bracket for a date with Virginia Commonwealth.
Super Sears. And while bracketology may be pure speculation, there’s no denying that a few Bulldogs have put together some fine performances this season. Justin Sears ’16 took home Ivy League Player of the Week honors yesterday, mainly for his 27-point, 9-rebound game against Brown on Saturday.
What are the odds? One of the best parts of Super Bowl Sunday is making prop bets on any of the odd, one-off things that could transpire between the Seahawks and Patriots next Sunday. According to a Monday article in Bloomberg, the odds are 20 to 1 that an Ivy Leaguer (either New England’s James Develin from Brown or Seattle’s Cornell’s Bryan Walters) scores a touchdown in the big game.
New Glory. Thanks to the savings and efforts of numerous city employees, a sparkling star-spangled is ready to fly outside the U.S. District Court on Church Street once its tattered predecessor is taken down.
