If the start of classes has you worried that you won’t be able to attend a single football game this year, don’t worry — your Bulldogs will be on the radio waves across Connecticut.

The Yale Football Radio Network, a new venture between Yale and Buckley Radio, will debut on September 21 when the team travels to Colgate in its season opener. Former Yale head coach Carm Cozza and Ron Vacarro ’04, two illustrious figures in football, will serve as commentators for the program. The network also reached a deal to air on ESPN Radio for the next three years.

Vaccaro began covering the Bulldogs in his freshman year and begins his ninth season as the official radio voice of the team this year. Cozza, a member of the College Football Hall of Fame, spent 32 years as the Yale head coach, winning 10 Ivy League championships. He remains the career win leader among all Ivy coaches.

Yale’s home season kicks off on September 28 when the Big Red of Cornell visit the Yale Bowl.
