After blizzard, J. Press temporarily closes

J. Press, the high-end clothing store that has dressed Yale gentlemen for years, has suffered a blizzard-induced injury and will temporarily close as it repairs the building.

A portion of the store’s roof was damaged due to pressure from last week’s 34-inch snowfall, according to Store Manager Jim Fitzgerald. J. Press was already renovating its store when the damage occurred, though Fitzgerald admitted that the storm “hastened” the process.

In the interim, J. Press will temporarily open at 976 Chapel St. across from the New Haven Green.
