Not to get anyone way too excited, but the Weather Channel is predicting snow for parts of northern New England this week.

“When everything is said and done, the highest snow totals will likely be found over the higher elevations of upstate New York and the mountains of northern New England,” the Weather Channel’s article reads.

When everything is said and done, snow will probably not have fallen in New Haven, at least not in any quantity sufficient to make a snow angel or have an excuse for staying in bed and missing class. The forecast does, however, call for mixed rain and snow showers Saturday night, which we at Cross Campus are getting excited for by listening to “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” (there’s also a Zooey Deschanel version from “Elf” and the semi-weird Norah Jones and Willie Nelson version) and drinking as much Atticus cider as our collective stomach can hold.

UPDATE: Oct. 27, 2011, 8:33 p.m.

It’s snowing outside 202 York Street! And the forecast for the weekend calls for even more rain/snow mix.
