Elm City Market, a new hybrid co-op emphasizing local, natural, organic food products, will finally open its doors on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 8 a.m., according to an announcement on its website on Monday.

On Wednesday, Nov. 2, members of the co-op are invited for a sneak-preview shopping day. Household memberships cost $200 and can be paid in full or in trimonthly instalments. Reduced-payment plans are also available for those of a limited income. A ribbon cutting ceremony, open to both members and the general public, is scheduled for 4:45 that evening and will be followed by an open house, according to the announcement.

The co-op, located on the ground floor of the 360 State Street building, will offer patrons one hour of validated parking in the 500 parking stalls above the store. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
