We may be entering the golden age for late-night munchies — Insomnia Cookies will soon be arriving on Chapel Street.

An empty storefront at 1145 Chapel Street, adjacent to J&B Deli, has recently displayed signs for Insomnia Cookies in its windows, advertising the store’s coming arrival. At its other locations at college campuses nationwide, Insomnia Cookies offers delivery of its freshly baked cookies (and even milk! yes, milk!) into the night. Although hours vary by location, delivery service at the University of South Carolina runs as late as 3 a.m. Students can order online or by phone.

The menu at other locations includes a number of dessert options for your indulgence — often snickerdoodles, peanut butter and chocolate chunk cookies, jumbo deluxe cookies, brownies and cupcakes. Some locations offer specials, such as The Sugar Rush (12 cookies) and The Major Ranger (18 cookies), for discounted prices.

Insomnia Cookies was founded in 2003 by University of Pennsylvania undergrad Seth Berkowitz.
