Tomorrow afternoon, Mayor John DeStefano Jr. will announce what everyone already knows: he is running for a tenth term as mayor.

At the now redeveloped Winchester gun factory near Science Park, DeStefano will “talk about his vision for the future of New Haven in continuing to make it a more livable city,” according to a press release by Danny Kedem, DeStefano’s campaign manager.

DeStefano faces opposition from at least one declared candidate, former city attorney and civil rights activist Clifton Graves.

“I look forward to debating frequently with anyone who qualifies for the ballot,” DeStefano said of the coming campaign last month.

DeStefano was first elected in 1993.
